For Better of For Worse (Your Health, That Is) | 4-16-16

How are you feeling?

Are you going to relax, eat a healthy meal, listen to my show and get some needed “me time” today?

Okay. Stop laughing. I know – the life of a caregiver makes it hard to even dream of that kind of a day.

But you know that allowing yourself some relaxation, better eating, and “me time” is important for you as well as for your loved one. That is why you listen to Toula’s Tips for Caregivers. That is why I keep bringing guests on my show to help you, and to encourage you.

Guests like Kym Dunton, a registered nurse and Coordinator of the Women’s Health Strategy at Baptist Health in Jacksonville. She will be joining me on Toula’s Tips For Caregivers this Saturday at 11AM on WBOB Radio 600AM or 100.3FM (click here to listen online).

Kym is a caregiver, too. She moved her mother and father to Amelia Island from Maine so that she could take care of them. Like you, she had to learn about caregiving the hard way. She was overcome by her own feelings of helplessness and despair while her father was hospitalized for 45 days.

Today, Kym is a nurse coach and motivational speaker. She works with women and caregivers of AgeWell patients to make sure they are taking care of themselves, and focusing on their own wellness goals. She shows how simple things make such a difference.

You can choose whether you want to be healthy, or continue to be mentally, physically and emotionally drained each day. Kym will help you to choose healthy.
